Dental Care

Bad breath is a sign of an unhealthy mouth, and most dogs and cats will require several dental cleanings throughout their lives. As plaque and gingivitis build up in the mouth, bacteria are at risk for spreading to the kidney and heart, or causing abscesses and painful teeth.

We recommend regular at-home dental care for your pet, which we will be happy to demonstrate to you during an exam. If there is dental tartar or periodontal disease present, we will recommend performing a dental scaling under anesthesia. During this time, we have the ability to take dental x-rays, fully clean the teeth, and surgically extract any teeth if indicated.

We want your pet to live a long, healthy life, and we understand that maintaining a healthy mouth is part of that. Your pet’s health is important to us, so let us help you with this commitment. Call today to discuss your pet’s dental care needs and how we can help!
